The Reverend Kelly J. Burd currently serves as pastor of Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ in Cleveland, Ohio. She earned a Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School, and in 2000 was ordained and called to serve Dover Congregational UCC in Westlake, Ohio. In 2007, she left the local church setting to serve in the UCC at the national level as coordinator of the National Youth Event and as interim minister for youth and young adults. During that time, Kelly took her first Our Whole Lives training and became a self-described “evangelist” for the program and for sexuality education and advocacy. In 2010, she accepted a position with UCC Justice and Witness Ministries, where for two years she helped to support Our Whole Lives nationally before her call to Pilgrim Church. Kelly is an OWL trainer for all age groups.
