Michael A. Tompkins, PhD, ABPP is a licensed psychologist and board certified in Behavioral and Cognitive Psychology. He is co-director of the San Francisco Bay Area Center for Cognitive Therapy and a Fellow of the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies. He is the author or co-author of numerous clinical articles and book chapters on Cognitive Behavior Therapy as well as fourteen books and three APA Psychotherapy Training Videos. He serves on the Advisory Board of Magination Press, the children’s press of the American Psychological Association, and on the editorial board of the Journal of Cognitive and Behavioral Practice. He provides consultation, training, and supervision in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and has an active clinical practice in which he provides cognitive behavior therapy to adults, adolescents, and children.
