Bettye Collier-Thomas

Dr. Bettye Collier-Thomas is a specialist in US social, cultural, and political history and the author of several books including African American Women and the Vote, Sisters in the Struggle: African American Women in the Civil Rights-Black Power Movement, and Jesus, Jobs, and Justice: African American Women and Religion. Dr. Collier-Thomas is professor at Temple University, and a founder and officer of the National Association of Black Museums and organized the First National Conference on Black Museums.
