To This I Give My Heart A Coming of Age Journal
by Carl von Baeyer on 6/17/2017
This is a beautiful resource, not only for youth and Coming of Age programs but for older UUs interested in development of their faith and leadership. It's graphically interesting, challenging, scholarly, and wide-ranging. Many thanks to the author, Bart Frost. The book doesn't have a table of contents, which means that in order to find topics such as mentorship, leadership, UU history, social justice, or credo, you need to read the book. A short companion guide for CoA leaders on how to make best use of the book would be very helpful. While some youth will take to it like a duck to water, I think many will need some incentive to do the exercises in it. A companion guide could offer suggestions for that as well: how to motivate young people to think, write, and draw in response to the invitations and challenges in the book. I feel energized by having read the book. Thanks again.

I just got the journal and WOW WOW WOW!!! I just purchased 40 copies! For years what we have relied on is a lined journal with nothing in it, and we would suggest prompts and hope for the best. This journal is fun, thought provoking and inspiring. Thank you, Bart for creating this valuable resource!
