The UUA Bookstore is located in Boston, on the first floor of the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations, often called “headquarters.” We are next door to the Massachusetts State House, up the hill from the Boston Common.

What to Expect
We welcome visitors to our location within the UUA Headquarters at 25 Beacon Street, where we've been in business since 1925. Rose, Ryan, and Lyn make up our loyal UUA Bookstore team, and we’ve worked at the UUA a combined total of over 25 years. You’re welcome to stop by and enjoy browsing the latest titles.
Please note that due to our small location, much of our stock is housed in a contracted warehouse in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Therefore, we have limited quantities of titles available at 25 Beacon Street. If you’d like to pick up a specific title, it’s wise to email us at least a week in advance, and we’ll have item sent from our warehouse to the headquarters location. This is especially important if you want multiple copies of a title.
Also, we maintain regular office hours, but with a small staff, there can be variations. We may occasionally need to close for lunch, for UUA events or meetings, or for those dreaded nor’easters. If you're coming from far away, please contact us in advance, and we’ll make every effort to be open and available when you arrive.
Directions
Driving: Parking is scarce near the UUA. We recommend you park at the Boston Common Garage. You can find directions here.
Public Transportation: The Boston subway system, called the MBTA, is often the easiest way to visit us. Take the Red or Green Line to Park Street Station. As you leave the station, follow Park Street up the hill to Beacon Street and turn left. We’re the first building after that the State House on your right. Our name, the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations, appears on a brass plaque on the front door. Hours of Operation
The UUA Bookstore is open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Time, except during the summer when we close at 4:00 p.m. We are closed on the following holidays:
