How to Order
Call us toll-free at 800-215-9076. We are available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Time - except during July 1st through Labor Day, when we close at 4 p.m. If you are authorized to charge your order to your congregation's account, please have the account number handy. We prefer that you speak to a customer service representative rather than leave an order on voicemail.

If you are ordering for a church bookstore or retail store, call us to set up a new account or log in. All other customers can open an account by clicking on "Your Account" at the top right-hand side of your screen. Be sure to choose a User Name and Password that will be easy to remember or record them as you will need this information whenever you access your online account. The User name and Password are both case-sensitive. You will be given a list of shipping options upon checkout.
How to log in if you don't remember your password:
If you've forgotten your User Name and Password, please call us at 800-215-9076 or email us at email@example.com and we'll supply them for you. If you still have trouble accessing your account during our office hours (9-5 M-F EST), please call 800-215-9076, and we will do our best to help you. If the problem occurs outside of office hours or on the weekend, please email firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will respond as soon as possible the next business day.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. If you are mailing in an order, you can also pay by check. UUA member congregations, church bookstores, and church book tables may charge orders to their account; payment is due 30 days from the date of the order. If possible, include your account number and any invoice numbers in your email, or have them available when you call.
Massachusetts Sales Tax
Massachusetts individuals and for profit institutions will be charged 6.25% Masachusetts sales tax on any non UUA, Skinner House, or Beacon Press products.
Shipping and Handling
We will process your order by the next business day. We offer three shipping options: Priority Mail, Value, and UPS. Priority Mail and UPS orders ship within 2-3 business day and are typically delivered within a week of the ship date. . Value (USPS) orders ususally arrive in 1-10 business days from the shipment date. We are also offer the choice of rush shipping, which guarantees the order will ship the next business day.You will receive an email when your order ships if we have a valid email address on file. Expedited shipping options are available. To place time-sensitive orders, please call us at 800-215-9076 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We ship via US Postal Service Priority Mail International. When we receive your order, we will email you the shipping charges and confirm that you would like to place the order.
We ship via FedEx International Economy. When we receive your order we will email you the shipping the charges and confirm that you would like to place the order.
We give a 10% discount off 5-9 copies of the same title and a 20% discount off 10 or more of the same title. These discounts apply to books published by the UUA, Beacon Press and other publishers, and to posters and certificate sets. Each set of certificates counts as one title. We offer 10% off 10 or more pamphlet packs of the same title. These discounts do not apply to any edition of Singing the Living Tradition, to any of the sets or to the InSpirit Series Sampler. Problems with Your Order?
To Check the Status of an Order:
If you need tracking information, please contact us and we will be happy to provide it for you.
Orders with items on backorder will be shipped as soon as the products are available. You will not be charged for a backordered item until the product is shipped.
To Change Your Order:
Contact us by phone or email. If the order has not arrived in our warehouse for processing, it should be relatively simple to make changes to it. We send the orders to our warehouse the morning of the next business day after they are placed, so your chances are better if you contact us within the same day.
If Your Order Is Late:
Please check our shipping schedule and keep in mind that delivery time is longer the further away from Massachusetts you are. International orders are generally sent out via Federal Express and are subject to their transit times. Please call 800-215-9076 or email email@example.com if your order is late.
If Your Order Is Incomplete or Damaged or Defective:
Please call 800-215-9076 or email firstname.lastname@example.org immediately.
Purchased items in good condition may be returned within 30 days, along with a copy of your original invoice, to the following address:

In order to help you get full credit for your returns, we put together a how-to guide so that your books will arrive in good condition.
*Please note: if we receive returns at 24 Farnsworth St., we will need to deduct the cost of reshipping to our warehouse from your credit/refund.
We recommend that you insure your return and ship via UPS or USPS Priority Mail (not FedEx Ground or USPS Media Mail). Please package your return carefully, with sufficient packing materials. Also, please use good quality boxes and strong packing tape. Each box should not weigh more than 35 pounds. Please note that we cannot give you credit for a return that is lost in the mail or received damaged.
Any returns received damaged will be sent back to the customer via UPS and the shipping cost deducted from your credit memo or refund.
There is no restocking fee for returns. We do not refund your original shipping charge or reimburse your cost to send returns unless the return was a result of our error. Please call 800-215-9076 or email email@example.com if you have questions.
If the returned items are in good condition and still carried by inSpirit: The UU Book and Gift Shop, we will credit your Bookstore account, your credit card, or send you a refund check if you prepaid with a check.

Our current website does not offer a gift certificate redemption feature, but customers can still redeem gift certificates online. To do so, place your items in the shopping cart and begin the checkout procedure. When you reach the payment page, you will have the option of entering credit card information or church account information. Find the number on your gift certificate and enter GC and then the number, into the entry field for church account information. If your gift certificate does not pay for your entire order, enter your credit card information as well. Continue on to submit the order. The website will not subtract the gift certificate amount from your total, but our staff will do so when we process the order. Your credit card will be charged only for the amount that isn't paid for by the gift certificate.
