Restored to Sanity: Essays on the Twelve Steps by Unitarian Universalists

"This book is not just about the Twelve Steps. It is a direct result of the work that the Twelve Steps invite us to do as people in recovery if we want to live happier, healthier, and more whole lives. Sometimes this work is incredibly painful. Sometimes it is as great blessing. Often it is both."—from the Introduction

This collection of personal stories offers a compelling testimony to the power of recovery as a spiritual practice. Along with searing chronicles about what the road to rock bottom looks like, you will find here humor, insight, and wisdom— framed and illuminated by the rich spectrum of religious faith held within Unitarian Universalism.
—Rev. Kathleen McTigue, Director, The Unitarian Universalist College of Social Justice

Rose's Corner

Dear Friends,

We are so pleased to announce the publication of our new book, Restored to Sanity, edited by two  Unitarian Universalists who have chosen to remain anonymous, along with the contributors to the  book, in keeping with the tradition of Twelve-Step practice. These writers reflect on their experiences with AA and the Twelve-Step program.  In contrast, The Sober Truth, by Lance Dodes, is critical of AA and its claims of recovery.  We hope you will find these offerings helpful and enlightening.

We are also offering sale books that I will be changing every two weeks for the next few months.  Be sure to check them out.  I will be choosing a wide selection of great gifts and useful resources – all at a very good price!

Happy reading!

 In Faith,

Rose Sig
